It’s been a couple of weeks since I did a weekend roundup post and for this, I apologize! Here is this week’s list of posts in my feedreader that caught my attention:
- “The Ease of Justifying Wants as Needs” by I’ve Paid For This Twice Already-A short but to the point post, Paid Twice states, “This isn’t to say we should only get things we truly need and nothing we want. However, blinding oneself into believing that things are needs when they are really wants isn’t helping yourself.”
- “A Simple System to Keep Financial Records” at The Digerati Life-Debbie Dragon shows us how to create an easy system with just four simple materials, a 3-ring binder, 10 manila envelopes, a 3-hole punch, and a pen. Doesn’t get much simpler folks!
- The Simple Dollar presents, “How to Avoid the Trap of Splurging as a Reward for ‘Being Good‘”-Trent describes four tactics to help break this habit: Find non-purchase methods to celebrate your successes. Always ask yourself why you’re making a purchase.Break up the part of your routine that causes you to splurge. Keep an entertainment portion of your budget.
- Single Mom released her first ebook, “Spring Cleaning for Normal People“-It’s a fun, easy-to-read guide for overhauling your home in around 10 days. It involves a simple declutter-clean-organize rhythm of injecting new life into your home, giving you room to stretch your legs and breathe again in your own abode. And it’s being sold for only $7.
- “Small Amounts Really do Add Up” by Single Guy Money-All those small amounts really DO add up!
- That One Cavemen presents, “Don’t Pay Your Children’s College Tuition if You Want Them to Succeed“-I couldn’t agree more!
